Cobalto Calcite Spheres & Tumbles
Pink and black Cobalto Calcite Spheres and tumbles from DR Congo. Ā These pink calcite pieces are much less common than the raw cobalto calcite you are used to seeing (the ones with a thin pink crystal coating on a matrix stone), which makes them quite special! Ā They are mixed with a bit of quartz and black Heterogenite. The tiny sphere even has some chalcopyrite.
Note that almost all of these have small 'fill spots' where they have been repaired a bit - especially the spheres. Ā These are naturally carved, so they are not perfectly round or with smooth surfaces. Ā The good news is because of that, the Cobalto Calcite spheres can actually sit on their own for the most part haha.Ā
